Get into the nautical spirit with this relaxing Regatta recipe! Perfect for sipping on your yacht, dreaming of your mansion, if you are a millionare :) Otherwise, it's great for any time you want to kick back.
1/2 shot Galliano
1/2 shot Triple Sec
1/2 shot lemon juice
1/4 shot vodka
Champagne
Galliano is an Italian liqueur, begun in the late 1800s. It has an herbal flavor, very much like Chartreuse. I find it to be extremely similar in flavor. Ironically, my bottle of Galliano says that it's made in France! I wonder if the company was bought out by a French one, but they keep saying it's an Italian liqueur for historical reasons.
Triple Sec is an orange flavored liqueur. I tend to use higher end liqueurs in my mixtures, so that would be either Cointreau or Grand Marnier, both which are also orange flavored.
Add first four ingredients into a Champagne flute, and then top off with Champagne. Enjoy!
